The attention to detail that this course embodied helped me think differently about how I should approach a career in music education.
I could tell that you really cared about how much useful, real world experience/knowledge we take from you. Your organization of the content was helpful and wonderfully implemented.
Really great class with lots of information that will be very helpful in our futures as teachers.
I love the way this class was taught. Not only were we expected to learn each instrument, but we were also expected to know how to teach each one and specified things about each one in different instances.
Mr. King is very kind and pleasant to be around. He was always very prepared and very professional for each day of class. I am confident he will have a great amount of success in his future, and he deserves it.
Great teacher who loved the subject matter.
Thought he was a great professor, the lectures were interesting, and it's hard to keep students attentive at 8 in the morning but he was able to do so!
Mr. King was a great instructor for MUS 250. I really admired how passionate he was about music, and he made the class really enjoyable and interesting throughout the entire semester. I also thought Mr. King prepared us very well for the exams, and never put anything on there that we did not cover thoroughly in class. Overall, I had a really good experience with MUS 250 and enjoyed having Mr. King as an instructor!
I wish the class had participated more in the material, but it's hard with such an early class. I learned a lot more depth about cultures that I knew about, and I discovered some new cultures entirely, so I enjoyed this class.
I like to think I was pretty knowledgeable about music going into the semester, but the class definitely broadened my perspectives. All of the assignments and objectives were clear from the beginning and he was consistent with his syllabus throughout the semester. All in all, it was a great class.
Course was very interesting and great opportunity to learn more about other aspects of music/countries.
